FOUNDATIONS SCHEDULE:

LUNCH WITH A BUNCH: Lunch With a Bunch this Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 pm is at Daley Park and Greenbelt, 340 Wilder Blvd., Picnic Area. Bring your sack lunch and join in the fellowship with others. For the entire summer schedule visit gabcames.org/lwab or pick up the schedule in the Welcome Center.
MENS SUMMER LUNCHES: Meeting at Jethro’s Steak ‘n Chop in South Ames (1301 Buckeye Ave) every Thursday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Lunch is on your own. If you are able to join us, let Pastor Michael know so he can let Jethro’s know approximately how many to expect. There is no assigned reading for the lunch meeting but we will be having spiritual discussions.
COLLEGE MINISTRY PRAYER WALKS: On July 25 and August 8 & 22, from 6:00-7:00 pm Tim & Sam Young and family will be leading a family friendly on-campus prayer walk. Meet at the Campanile at 6:00 pm. Join them as you can to pray for the ISU students and the college ministry at GABC.
MEN: Please consider attending the For the Church Conference September 24-25 at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. For info on the conference please see the link.
The theme for this year’s conference is Mission and Majesty. This year’s conference will focus on the mission and majesty of local church ministry in a rapidly changing culture.
Trip Details: We will leave for KC on Sunday afternoon, September 23 and will return to Ames after the conference is over on Tuesday afternoon, September 25. GABC will cover the fuel costs.
Conference Registration Fee: $20 per person for the conference. (Due when you signup. Make your check payable to GABC.)
Other costs due at time of the conference:
- Rooming Cost: There will be a cost for a room for two nights. The cost for the room will be split between those in the room. This cost has yet to be determined but should be no more than $150.00 each.
- Meals: Approximately $100 for the whole trip.
- Total for the whole conference is approximately $250.00. Don’t let money keep you from attending. If you want to go and funds are tight just let me know and we’ll get you there.
