GABC WOMEN: Join us on August 25th from 8:30-10:00 am for brunch at the Milford School (59035 190th Street, Nevada, IA). Come and be encouraged as we spend time Discovering Our Design…God’s purpose for women from Genesis. Learn about opportunities this year for GABC Women to grow in their relationship with God and each other. BACK TO FOUNDATIONS OPENHOUSE: Join us this Sunday, August 26, from 9:30-10:15 AM for our Back to Foundations Openhouse for all ages. Breakfast items will be available.
GO DEEPER TRAVEL MEETINGS: Informational meetings to introduce the basic plans for working with Go Deeper Travels/The Calls in Southeast Asia are scheduled for Sunday, September 2,during Foundations and Sunday, September 23, after worship. We will meet in Room 102. Please contact Pastor Michael with any questions.
COLLEGE LUNCH: This Sunday, August 26, is the first college lunch for this school year. The lunch will be held in the fellowship hall after the worship service. College students please come to the lunch and bring your friends.
GROW 252 KICKOFF: The grow 252 kickoff is this Wednesday, September 5 from 6:30-8:00 PM. A hotdog dinner for the family will be provided. Some of the evening events involve water play so please dress your children accordingly.
BOOKMARKS AVAILABLE: Bookmarks with the Fall 2018 sermon series breakdown through the book of Luke are available to pick up at the Welcome Center.
GENESIS BIBLE STUDY: GABC Men’s and Women’s Ministries invite you to gather with others once a week to study the book of Genesis. Groups will run from the week of September 16th through the week of November 11th. Study books will be provided during your first meeting time. Please prepare for your first meeting by reading through the book of Genesis.

MEMBERSHIP CLASS: Interested in becoming a Member of GABC? A Foundations of Membership Class will be scheduled soon. This class covers our faith and practice. IOWA MISSIONS OFFERING: On September 9th and 16th we have an opportunity to participate in the Iowa Missions Offering. Participating in the offering is a way that we can partner with the Baptist Convention of Iowa and churches across Iowa to 1) support ministries that offer God’s mercy, love, and truth to those who are hurting 2) award seminary tuition scholarships to those preparing for full-ministry in Iowa and 3) provide funding for staff interns to help start new college ministries. If you’d like to give to the Iowa Missions Offering please make a check out to Grand Avenue Baptist Church and write Iowa Missions Offering on the memo line and either put it in the offering bag on September 9th or 16th or mail it to the GABC office.
