Pre-service Song
Our Sovereign God
Our Sov’reign God by His own word
sustains this world and reigns as Lord.
No angel, demon, sinful man
can change His course, restrain His hand.
O Sov’reign God we praise Your pow’r;
Your wisdom, goodness we adore!
We bow our hearts before your throne:
help us, O Lord, to trust You more,
help us, O lord, to trust You more.
When the fullness of the time had come,
God sent His own beloved Son.
To keep God’s Law, live in our place,
to bear our sin, guilt and disgrace.
Dead in our sin, estranged from God,
we fled as rebels from His love.
In sov’reign grace He made us sons
and saved us from the wrath to come,
and saved us from the wrath to come
Before our birth He planned our days,
laid out our course, ordained our ways.
The moments of our lives He weaves
so all the glory He receives.
To those He loved before all time,
to all He called, in grace renewed,
He cannot lie; His Word is true,
He makes all things to work for good,
He makes all things to work for good.
He has written hist’ry’s final page
his Son’s return will end this age.
The Lamb will come in glorious might,
take back his world and end its night.
How deep the wisdom of our God,
unknown, unfathomed are His ways.
None counsels Him or knows His mind,
We bow before Him al our days,
We bow before Him all our days!

Call To Worship
We confess the supremacy of God in Christ through both responsive reading and song.
Our Spoken Call to Worship
Psalm 147:1-6, 10-12 (ESV)
Praise the LORD!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.
The LORD builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power;
his understanding is beyond measure.
The LORD lifts up the humble;
he casts the wicked to the ground.
His delight is not in the strength of the horse,
nor his pleasure in the legs of a man,
but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him,
in those who hope in his steadfast love.
Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem!
Praise your God, O Zion!
Hallelujah!
Our Sung Call to Worship
How Great is Our God
The splendor of the King, clothed in majesty,
Let all the earth rejoice, all the earth rejoice.
He wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide,
And trembles at His voice, trembles at His voice.
Chorus
How great is our God, sing with me,
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God.
And age to age He stands, and time is in His hands,
Beginning and the end, beginning and the end.
The Godhead, three in one: Father, Spirit, Son,
The Lion and the Lamb, the Lion and the Lamb. (Chorus)
Name above all names,
Worthy of all praise,
My heart will sing
How great is our God. (Repeat)
How great is our God, sing with me,
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God.

Confession
We confess our need for mercy through both responsive reading and song.
Our Spoken Confession
Adapted from SBTS Abstract of Principles and The Baptist Faith and Message
God originally created Man in His own image.
He created them male and female as the crowning work
of His creation.
In the beginning, man was innocent of sin.
Through the temptation of Satan,
man chose to sin against the command of God
and fell from his original holiness and righteousness.
All future generations of man now inherit a corrupt nature,
wholly opposed to God and His law.
They became transgressors and are under condemnation.
Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship.
Time of silent confession.
Assurance and Peace
We profess our assurance of salvation and peace in Christ through both responsive reading and song.
Remember the Gospel
Romans 5:1, 8-11 (ESV)
Remember the Gospel!
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
God shows his love for us
in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood,
much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
For if while we were enemies
we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, now that we are reconciled,
shall we be saved by his life.
More than that, we also rejoice in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Our Sung Profession of Assurance
My Worth is Not in What I Own
My worth is not in what I own,
not in the strength of flesh and bone;
but in the costly wounds of love
at the cross.
My worth is not in skill or name,
in win or lose, in pride or shame;
but in the blood of Christ that flowed
at the cross. (Chorus)
Chorus
I rejoice in my Redeemer, greatest treasure,
wellspring of my soul.
I will trust in Him, no other.
My soul is satisfied in Him alone.
As summer flow’rs we fade and die;
fame, youth and beauty hurry by,
but life eternal calls to us
at the cross.
I will not boast in wealth or might,
or human wisdom’s fleeting light;
but I will boast in knowing Christ
at the cross. (Chorus)
Two wonders here that I confess:
my worth and my unworthiness.
My value fixed, my ransom paid
at the cross. (Chorus )

Thanksgiving and Petition
We Give Thanks in Prayer and Offer Petitions to God
We express our gratitude to God our Father for Christ’s work on the cross for us and bring our requests before him. In bringing our requests, we confess that we believe God truly is a good father, who cares about our needs and gives us what he knows is best.
We Give Thanks by Giving
We give financial offerings to support the work of the church because of our gratitude to God. By giving we confess we are trusting in God’s provision for us as well.
You may give electronically at gabcames.org/giving/ or place your offering in the boxes at the back of the sanctuary or send a check in the mail.
Scripture Reading
Psalm 20 (ESV)
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
1 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!
May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and give you support from Zion!
3 May he remember all your offerings
and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah
4 May he grant you your heart’s desire
and fulfill all your plans!
5 May we shout for joy over your salvation,
and in the name of our God set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!
6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;
he will answer him from his holy heaven
with the saving might of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
8 They collapse and fall,
but we rise and stand upright.
9 O Lord, save the king!
May he answer us when we call.
This is the word of the Lord.
The grass withers and the flower falls
but the word of the Lord endures forever.

Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
Sending
Having heard and confessed the Gospel, we are sent into the world on mission in Christ, which we express in both song and spoken word.
Sending Song
Trust and Obey
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will; He abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey. (Chorus)
Chorus
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.
Ev’ry burden we bear, ev’ry sorrow we share,
All our toil He doth richly repay;
Even grief, pain, and loss, as we carry a cross,
Will be blessed as we trust and obey. (Chorus)
Be we never can prove, the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows and the joy He bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey. (Chorus)
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey. (Chorus)
