David spent his childhood in the St. Louis area and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended the University of Northern Iowa where he met his wife, Ashley, and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Music Education and a minor in Math Education. David then joined The Navigators staff team at UNI. After marrying Ashley in 2013, they stayed at UNI for two more years before moving to join The Navigators staff team at Iowa State in 2015.
David became a member of GABC in 2016. Since being in Ames, David and Ashley have welcomed their two children, Lily and Jesse, as well as become the directors of The Navigators at ISU. David enjoys the challenging but fruitful work of making disciples of Jesus with college students every year; he especially loves teaching and equipping disciple-makers to send out into the harvest after college to make more disciples of Jesus.
David spends his free time playing board games, disc golfing, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, playing with his children, and faithfully cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.
