Tim serves as an elder with specific oversight in the areas of housing ministry and properties. Tim has been a member of Grand Avenue for 14 years, serving part-time on staff as Youth Minister from 2009-2017 and College Minister from 2017-2019. Tim loves the gift that is the local church and sees lasting value in Biblical theology.
Tim and his wife, Sam, have four children. Their family size has varied over the last several years as they have been active foster/adoptive parents with a passion for caring for children and parents in crisis.
Tim grew up in Clarion, Iowa, before moving to Ames to study at Iowa State University. He enjoys playing ball with his kids, creating in his woodshop, and experiencing the glory of God in Creation.
