A group of women from Grand are planning to attend ONE, a weekend conference for women in West Des Moines, April 10-12, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel. We would like to invite anyone who is interested in attending to join us.
Jen Wilkin is the featured speaker and will be speaking on Mark 12, focusing on seeking Jesus as Lord of all. Jen Wilkins is a wife and mom of four kids and loves teaching and encouraging women to love God with their minds through the faithful study of his Word. She released the book, “Women of the Word” this past summer and attends The Village Church in Flower Mound, TX.
The weekend will include worship, three main sessions with Jen, and a dessert theatre. The event is being hosted by the Baptist Convention of Iowa and Cornerstone Church of Ames and is for women of all ages and stages of life.
Registration for the conference is $104 (through March 13). The conference has scholarships available. The conference has rooms reserved at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines for $99+ tax/night. Some rooms can sleep 4 and some rooms sleep 3.
If you are interested in attending and sharing a room with other Grand Avenue women please contact Kim Brumm by next Wednesday the 11th of March. She will help coordinate room assignments/requests. We will also coordinate rides to the conference.
There is not anything scheduled for the conference on Saturday afternoon so we would love to plan a time of fellowship for women attending from Grand. We will also have the opportunity to eat meals together.
