Thank you to all who participated in our Adult Foundations Ministry in 2015. It has been a blessing to learn about our faith and practice from God’s Word with you.
Below you will find an update on the Adult Foundations schedule for the next five months.
January 3 — Galatians 6:1-10 (Room 102)

Join us as Andy & Kat Iverson updated us about their ministry at Auckland University in New Zealand.
January 17 — Galatians 6:11-18 (Room 102)
January 24-May 29 — Foundations of Bible Reading (Room 102 | Facilitator: Mike Shupp)
This class will cover basic methods for studying the Bible, including an overview of the Bible as one story, the background to the books of the Bible, and understanding how literature type (genre) impacts interpretation. Those who attend will learn how to study the various books of the Bible and be better equipped to lead Bible studies in the context of church and evangelistic settings.
Part 1 (Jan 24-Mar 13) will overview the Bible, with an emphasis on how the storyline unfolds through the major covenants, culminating in the person and work of the Messiah.
Part 2 (Mar 20-May 29) will cover the basics of interpretation, discovering meaning and application, with specific attention given to the major genres of Biblical literature.
*March 13-May 29 — Foundations of Bible Study: Ecclesiastes (Room 202 | Facilitator: Eric Schumacher)
This unit of Foundations of Bible Study will focus on how to read, interpret, and apply Wisdom Literature by examining the book of Ecclesiastes.
There will be no Foundations Classes (Adult or Children) on Easter Sunday, March 27.
*Eric is looking for a few men who would like to study and teach Ecclesiastes together. This would involve teaching 1-2 sessions, and committing to meet once weekly to study the book, and to attend all the class sessions, if possible (even when you’re not teaching).
