Summer Foundations – July 23 8:30 am

Plan to join us Sunday, July 23, at 8:30 am for our second Summer Foundations.

Last month we focused on “Loving Our Neighbors”.  This month we will focus on “Loving God”.   The purpose of Summer Foundations is to remind us of the truths from Scripture that we want to apply even in the midst of what can be a sporadic summer routine. Our time together is designed to offer practical ways to encourage the whole church (all ages) to learn together. This month’s format will differ from what we did in June.   Here’s what you can expect:

8:30-9:10 — Breakfast  Breakfast casseroles and fruit will be served both upstairs in the fellowship hall and in the Overflow area. There will be no “official start”—just arrive, fill up a plate, and dig in. At 9:10 we’ll begin moving toward designated small group assignments.

9:15 – 9:25 — Fun — Within our small groups, leaders will introduce the topic with a visual demonstration to help illustrate the point. Hands-on activities will be provided for “little hands” to help with listening as the sharing begins.

9:15-9:45 — Sharing and Applying — We will learn from the Bible about what it means to Love God.  In particular we will consider what it looks like to love God during our personal worship time and during family worship time.  We will conclude with a discussion about how to apply what we have learned to our daily lives this summer and beyond.

Please note:  Every family in attendance will receive a gift to encourage them in Loving God!
