UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
GO DEEPER TRAVEL MEETING: There is an informational meeting following the worship service TODAY to introduce the basic plans for working with Go Deeper Travels/The Calls in Southeast Asia. We will meet in Room 102. There are two more meetings scheduled, Sunday, September 2, during Foundations and Sunday, September 23, after worship. Please contact Pastor Michael with any questions.
MENS SUMMER LUNCH: The final men’s summer lunch meeting at Jethro’s Steak ‘n Chop in South Ames (1301 Buckeye Ave) is this Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Lunch is on your own. There is no assigned reading for the lunch meeting but we will be having spiritual discussions.
COLLEGE MINISTRY PRAYER WALK: On August 22, from 6:00-7:00 PM Tim & Sam Young and family will be leading the final for the summer family friendly on-campus prayer walk. Meet at the Campanile at 6:00 pm. Join them as you can to pray for the ISU students and the college ministry at GABC.
GABC WOMEN: Join us on August 25th from 8:30-10:00 am for brunch at the Milford School (59035 190th Street, Nevada, IA). Come and be encouraged as we spend time Discovering Our Design…God’s purpose for women from Genesis. Learn about opportunities this year for GABC Women to grow in their relationship with God and each other. COLLEGE LUNCH: Next Sunday, August 26, is the first college lunch for this school year. The lunch will be held in the fellowship hall after the worship service. College students please come to the lunch and bring your friends.
BACK TO FOUNDATIONS OPENHOUSE: Join us next Sunday, August 26, from 9:30-10:15 AM for our Back to Foundations Openhouse for all ages. Breakfast items will be available.
GROW 252 KICKOFF: The grow 252 kickoff is September 5 from 6:30-8:00 PM. A hotdog dinner for the family will be provided. Some of the evening events involve water play so please dress your children accordingly.
BOOKMARKS AVAILABLE: Bookmarks with the fall 2018 sermon series breakdown through the book of Luke are available to pick up at the Welcome Center.
