WEDDING RECEPTION: You are invited to an open house wedding reception for Paul and Lighton Otyama on October 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at GABC. Paul and Lighton were married on June 2, 2018, in Uganda. Paul returned to the U.S. in July and Lighton was able to join him here in late August. The Otyama’s are registered at Target. Gift card ideas include: Aldi, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Applebees, PepperJax, The Café, El Azteca, Fazoli’s and Dutch Oven Bakery. Join us as we celebrate Paul and Lighton’s marriage!
MEMBERSHIP CLASS: A Foundations of Membership Class is scheduled for Sunday, October 21, 2:00-5:00 pm in Room 102. This class covers our faith and practice. AN EVENING OF FELLOWSHIP AND HOSPITALITY: On Sunday evening, October 21, from 5:00-7:00 pm we will have a potluck supper in the Fellowship Hall. INFORMED CHOICE OF IOWA FALL BANQUET: The 2018 Ames Fall Banquet for Informed Choice of Iowa will be Sunday, October 28th, with guest speaker Chuck Donovan. The banquet will be held at the Gateway Hotel at 2100 Green Hills Drive. Seating begins at 6:30 pm, dinner and program will be from 7:00-9:00 pm. Please register by Monday, October 22nd.
