UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
GRADUATION OPENHOUSE: Mac Felkins is graduating May 26th from Gilbert High School. You are invited to his graduation open house to be held on May 18th from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Felkins’ home at 5818 Alta Vista Road, Ames, IA 50010.
MEMBERS MEETING: There will be a members meeting on June 2 at 4:00 pm in the sanctuary. One item on the agenda will be voting on the proposed budget for 2019-2020. Plan now to attend this meeting!
ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Following the members meeting on June 2 at 5:30 pm there will be a church wide ice cream social. A meal with homemade ice cream for dessert will be provided. Mark your calendars and plan to come to the ice cream social!
LUNCH WITH A BUNCH INFORMATION: (This information is available online at gabcame.org/lwab Reminders will be posted on Facebook and Twitter each week.)
What is it? An opportunity to gather with others and enjoy lunch together at a different park every Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:00 during the summer months.
Who can come? Everyone! Single professionals, moms and dads with young children, grandfathers and grandmothers with their grandchildren, empty nesters, etc. all are welcome to come and enjoy their sack lunch and fellowship with others.
What do I do? Come! Bring your own sack lunch and beverage and meet with others at the designated park. If you have children or grandchildren, bring them to play with others and enjoy the many wonderful parks in our area. Invite your friends and neighbors!
When is it? Every Wednesday over the noon hour at the park listed below. If the weather is inclement, we will not meet that week.
Where will it be each week? We have selected parks that have covered shelters/picnic tables and playgrounds and designated which shelter we will meet at if one is provided. (We are not paying to reserve these shelters so if they are occupied, we will meet there then move to another spot at that park.)
