UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
ALL CHURCH PICNIC – SEPTEMBER 15: Immediately after the worship service TODAY, we will head over to Emma McCarthy Lee Park (Butternut Shelter) for a potluck picnic. We’ll have rousing games of kickball and volleyball or softball going after the meal, or bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the fun from the sideline. Last names A-M bring a main dish and dessert; Last names N-Z bring main dish and salad. Drinks and paper goods will be provided. College students, just bring yourself & friends!
FALL BIBLE STUDIES: Our Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies will be studying the book of Acts. Fall groups begin the week of September 29th and end for the semester the week of November 17th. Registration deadline: TODAY, September 15th. Register at gabcames.org/studies.
ADULT FOUNDATIONS SEMINARS: The next two weeks our adult Men and Women will meet separately during Foundations for special topic seminars. The women will meet in the sanctuary, the men in Room 102. (These seminars will not be recorded.) Learn more at gabcames.org/foundations. Upcoming seminars are:
SEPTEMBER 15 —
Women — A Meaningful Season: Thriving in the Golden Years & Beyond — A panel of women discuss faithful ministry, service and loving one another after age 50. When children have grown up and gone, what does it look like to find your identity in Christ with a new set of opportunities and limitations?
Men — Loving Our Sisters Well — A panel of GABC women discuss life as Christian women in the local church and the world. Men will learn how to understand, relate to, help, and walk alongside their sisters in the congregation.
SEPTEMBER 22 —
Women — Christian Digital Media 101 — A behind-the-scenes look at various types of Christian Digital media like podcasts, blogs, online magazines, social media, and more. This information can bring context to our choices, helping us evaluate the resources we consume and share with others.
Men — Exhortation Without Exasperation — A panel of men discuss the challenges of raising children and what it looks like to faithfully disciple, discipline and exhort children without exasperating them.
MEMBERS’ MEETING: There will be a members’ meeting on Sunday, September 29th at 4:00 pm in the sanctuary. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this meeting. The agenda will be sent out via email.

MEMBERSHIP CLASS: A two-session Foundations of Membership Class will be offered next month—Part 1 (October 9) and Part 2 (October 23) from 6:30-8:00 pm in the sanctuary. WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHILDCARE NEEDED: We have been unable to secure childcare help for Wednesday nights beyond September. If sufficient childcare staffing is not secured, there will be no Wednesday night childcare this fall (this includes both grow252 and Bible Studies).
