MEN’S AND WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES: The GABC Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies will continue studying the book of Acts. Groups begin again the week of February 2. If you attended a Fall Group and plan to attend the same study, please confirm your attendance with your leader. If you are a new attendee or switching studies, please register on our website. COLLEGE LUNCH: College students bring your friends and join us in the fellowship hall for the College Lunch TODAY, January 26th, after the worship service.
BRIDAL SHOWER: Please join us in celebrating Alex Felkins with a bridal shower Sunday, February 16th from 1:00-3:00 pm at the home of Becca Jensen (5396 Cobblestone Ct, Ames). If you would like to be a part of the group gift please contact Amanda Philgreen (arphilgreen@gmail.com or 515-451-7341).
FAMILY BOWLING NIGHT: You’ve heard of the Fiesta Bowl® and the Rose Bowl®, but have you heard of the Cheez-It Bowl® and the Redbox Bowl®? Or the most famous of all, the GABC Bowl? So rare, it is only known to a few select Iowans who are invited to participate. This test of physical skill actually (unlike the above mentioned “bowls”) deals with bowling! And, you, my friend, are invited to that bowling bowl. Come join other GABC bowlers to test your skills against fellow GABCers, or laugh while demonstrating your rusty efforts to toss that heavy sphere down the lane toward some pins. (Most of the pins in my lane usually survive my attempts to bowl them over.) The date for this event is January 31, at Perfect Games, 1320 Dickinson Avenue, Ames, 50014 at 6:30 p.m. We’ll look forward to seeing you there! Julie Sulc for the GABC Social Team
SOUP SUPPER & GAME NIGHT: Beat the winter blues with an evening of food, fellowship, and games of all kinds-board games, card games, and strategy games. Something for everyone young and old, February 22, 5:30 pm at the church.
TALENT SHOW: We’re on a mission to unearth hidden talent in our midst. What’s yours? An instrument? An unusual skill? Dramatic reading? Poetry? Rap? Juggling? From serious to humorous, we’re looking for all contributions to this fun evening. March 27, at 6:30 pm at the church.
