Call To Worship
We confess the supremacy of God in Christ through both responsive reading and song.

Our Spoken Call to Worship
Based on Psalm 24

Saints of Grand, who have you come to worship today?

The Lord God, Who created the earth,
everything in it, and all its inhabitants.
He alone laid the foundations on the seas
and established its rivers.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?

We, who because of the blood of Christ,
come with clean hands and pure hearts.
We seek the face of the God of Jacob.

Then lift up your heads and rise up!
The King of glory will come in!
The Lord strong and mighty
Who is He this king of glory?

The Lord of armies! He is the King of glory!

Confession
We confess our need for mercy through both responsive reading and song.

Our Spoken Confession
Based on Psalm 51

Have mercy on us, O God, according to Your steadfast love.

For the idols of our hearts are many
and we have prostituted ourselves to lesser gods.

According to Your great compassions
blot out our many transgressions.

For we have worshiped the creature
rather than the Creator
and set our desires above Yours.

Wash away all our iniquities and cleanse us from sin.

Please, Lord, hear our prayers and forgive us we pray.

TIME OF SILENT CONFESSION

Our Sung Confession
Grace Greater Than Our Sin

Assurance and Peace
We profess our assurance of salvation and peace in Christ through both responsive reading and song.
Remember the Gospel
Based on Psalm 32

Blessed are we whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.

Blessed are we because the Lord
does not charge us with iniquity.

Blessed are we for the Lord
has forgiven the guilt of our sins.

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous,
and sing for joy all you upright in heart!

Thanksgiving and Petition

We Give Thanks in Prayer and Offer Petitions to God
We express our gratitude to God our Father for Christ’s work on the cross for us and bring our requests before him. In bringing our requests, we confess that we believe God truly is a good father, who cares about our needs and gives us what he knows is best.

We Give Thanks by Giving
We give financial offerings to support the work of the church because of our gratitude to God. By giving we confess we are trusting in God’s provision for us as well.
On the first Sunday of each month we have two offerings—one for the general fund and a second one for the benevolence ministry of our church.

Scripture Reading
Hosea 3:1-5
1 And the LORD said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, even as the LORD loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love cakes of raisins.” 2 So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a lethech of barley. 3 And I said to her, “You must dwell as mine for many days. You shall not play the whore, or belong to another man; so will I also be to you.” 4 For the children of Israel shall dwell many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or pillar, without ephod or household gods. 5 Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God, and David their king, and they shall come in fear to the LORD and to his goodness in the latter days.

This is the Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!

When your heart betrays God this week, and it will,
may you quickly return and seek the Lord your God.
