Pre-service Song
God So Loved

Come all you weary, come all you thirsty.
Come to the well that never runs dry.
Drink of the Water, come and thirst no more.

Come all you sinners, come find His mercy.
Come to the table, He will satisfy.
Taste of His goodness, find what you’re looking for. (Chorus)

Chorus 1
For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save us,
Whoever believes in Him will live forever.

Bring all your failures, bring your addictions.
Come lay them down at the foot of the cross.
Jesus is waiting there with open arms.

Chorus 2
For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save us,
Whoever believes in Him will live forever.
The power of hell forever defeated.
Now it is well, I’m walking in freedom.
For God so loved, God so loved the world.

Praise God, praise God
From whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him, praise Him
For the wonders of His love. (Repeat)

Chorus 3
For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save us,
For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save us,
Whoever believes in Him will live forever.
The power of hell forever defeated.
Now it is well, I’m walking in freedom.
For God so loved, God so loved the world.

Bring all your failures, bring your addictions.
Come lay them down at the foot of the cross.
Jesus is waiting.
God so loved the world.

Call To Worship
We confess the supremacy of God in Christ through both responsive reading and song.

Our Spoken Call to Worship
Revelation 5:9-13 (CSB)

Come, let us worship the Lord Jesus Christ!

You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals,
because you were slaughtered,
and you purchased people
for God by your blood
from every tribe and language
and people and nation.
You made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they will reign on the earth.

Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered
to receive power and riches
and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and blessing!

Blessing and honor and glory and power
be to the one seated on the throne,
and to the Lamb, forever and ever!

Our Sung Call to Worship
All Hail The Power of Jesus’ Name

All hail the power of Jesus’ name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all!

Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race,
Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all;
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all!

Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget
The wormwood and the gall,
Go spread your trophies at His feet,
And crown Him Lord of all;
Go spread your trophies at His feet,
And crown Him Lord of all!

Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all;
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all!

O that with yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song,
And crown Him Lord of all;
We’ll join the everlasting song,
And crown Him Lord of all!

Crown Him, ye morning stars of light,
Who fixed this earthly ball;
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might,
And crown Him Lord of all;
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might,
And crown Him Lord of all!

Confession
We confess our need for mercy through both responsive reading and song.

Our Spoken Confession
Psalm 25:6-8, 11, 16-18 (CSB)

Remember, Lord, your compassion
and your faithful love,
for they have existed from antiquity.

Do not remember the sins of my youth
or my acts of rebellion;
in keeping with your faithful love, remember me
because of your goodness, Lord.

The Lord is good and upright;
therefore he shows sinners the way.

Lord, for the sake of your name,
forgive my iniquity, for it is immense.

Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am alone and afflicted.
The distresses of my heart increase;
bring me out of my sufferings.

Consider my affliction and trouble,
and forgive all my sins.

Time of silent confession.

Our Sung Confession
Here I Am To Worship

Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness,
Opened my eyes, let me see.
Beauty that made this heart adore You,
Hope of a life spent with You. (Chorus)

Chorus
So here I am to worship, here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You’re my God.
And You’re altogether lovely,
Altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me.

King of all days, oh so highly exalted,
Glorious in heaven above.
Humbly You came to earth You created,
All for love’s sake become poor. (Chorus)

And I’ll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I’ll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross. (Chorus 2 X’s)

Assurance and Peace
We profess our assurance of salvation and peace in Christ through both responsive reading and song.

Remember the Gospel
Romans 8:31-35, 37-39 (CSB)

Remember the Gospel!

If God is for us, who is against us?
He did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all.
How will he not also with him grant us everything?

Who can bring an accusation against God’s elect?
God is the one who justifies.

Who is the one who condemns?
Christ Jesus is the one who died,
but even more, has been raised;
he also is at the right hand of God
and intercedes for us.

Who can separate us from the love of Christ?
Can affliction or distress or persecution
or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him who loved us.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,
nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing
will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our Sung Profession of Assurance
The Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name. (Chorus)

Chorus
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In ev’ry high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil. (Chorus)

His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay. (Chorus)

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne. (Chorus)

King of Kings

In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope, without light,
Till from heaven You came running,
There was mercy in Your eyes.

To fulfill the law and prophets,
To a virgin came the Word,
From a throne of endless glory,
To a cradle in the dirt. (Chorus)

Chorus
Praise the Father,
Praise the Son,
Praise the Spirit, three in one.
God of Glory, Majesty,
Praise forever to the King of Kings

To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost,
To redeem the whole creation,
You did not despise the cross.

For even in Your suffering,
You saw to the other side.
Knowing this was our salvation,
Jesus, for our sake You died. (Chorus)

And the morning that You rose,
All of heaven held its breath,
Till that stone was moved for good,
For the Lamb had conquered death.

And the dead rose from their tombs,
And the angels stood in awe,
For the souls of all who’d come,
To the Father are restored.

And the Church of Christ was born,
Then the Spirit lit the flame.
Now this Gospel truth of old,
Shall not kneel, shall not faint.

By his blood and in His name,
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ,
Who has resurrected me. (Chorus 2X’s)

Praise forever to the King of Kings.

Thanksgiving and Petition

We Give Thanks in Prayer and Offer Petitions to God
We express our gratitude to God our Father for Christ’s work on the cross for us and bring our requests before him. In bringing our requests, we confess that we believe God truly is a good father, who cares about our needs and gives us what he knows is best.

We Give Thanks by Giving
We give financial offerings to support the work of the church because of our gratitude to God. By giving we confess we are trusting in God’s provision for us as well.

On the first Sunday of each month we have a Mission Moment to highlight the different missions giving
opportunities we have at Grand. Members are encouraged to give to GABC Missions to support these missions.

You may give electronically at gabcames.org/giving/ or place your offering in the boxes at the back of the sanctuary or send a check in the mail.

Scripture Reading
Matthew 5:17-20 and John 14:21-24 (CSB)

Matthew 5:17-20
17 “Don’t think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will pass away from the law until all things are accomplished. 19 Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.

John 14:21-24
21 The one who has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father. I also will love him and will reveal myself to him.”
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it you’re going to reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”
23 Jesus answered, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 The one who doesn’t love me will not keep my words. The word that you hear is not mine but is from the Father who sent me.

This is the word of the Lord.
The grass withers and the flower falls
but the word of the Lord endures forever.

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live. (Chorus)

Chorus
I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now. (Chorus)

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine. (Chorus)

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let thy blessing fall on me. (Chorus)

Now I feel the sacred flame.
O the joy of full salvation,
Glory, glory to His holy name. (Chorus 2 X’s)
