Evangelism can be a frightening and challenging activity for Christians. Nevertheless, we’re called to call people to trust in Jesus.
On The Gospel Coalition website, Trevin Wax offers six questions about evangelism. He argues that answering “no” to any of the questions effectively kills your evangelism.
Read the following questions, asking if you answer “yes” or “no” to each.
- The Compassion Question: Do we care that people are dying without faith in Jesus Christ?
- The Culture Question: Do we understand why people reject the gospel?
- The Content Question: Do we know what the good news is that we’re sharing?
- The Confidence Question: Do we believe that God really saves sinners?
- The Commitment Question: Do we believe God has given us the responsibility of evangelism?
- The Calling Question: Are you willing to ask someone to repent and believe, and then disciple them in the faith?
