GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE: We will be having a Good Friday Service on April 14 at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. This year we will have a Tenebrae Service which is also known as A Service of Shadows. It is historical service that churches have held for hundreds of years where the congregation gathers to remember our Savior’s passion on Good Friday. The service consists of reading Scripture to help us remember Christ’s suffering on the way to the cross, His crucifixion and burial. We will respond to each reading in song, a reading or an instrumental to help us focus on the text. I encourage you to bring your children to the service as there will be no childcare provided. I hope the service is formative for our little ones and our families as we reflect together on our Savior’s passion on Good Friday. Pastor Michael
MEMBERSHIP CLASS: Interested in becoming a Member of GABC? A Foundations of Membership Class will be scheduled soon. Let us know of your interest via our on-line form (outrageous-unicorn.flywheelsites.com/membership) or by contacting our church office (info@gabcames.org).
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Birthright of Ames is currently looking for new volunteers who will work with current ones for a few weeks until they feel competent to work alone. Duties include working in the clothing room, sorting and organizing, helping with mailings, or working with clients doing pregnancy tests and working with those facing a planned or unplanned pregnancy. Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to stop by and visit with us anytime we are open (MWF from 12:00-5:00 PM) at 108 Hayward Avenue, Suite 202.
