Dear Grand,
As you may recall, every Christmas we as a church have participated in Operation Christmas Child’s shoebox program, as a way to bring the good news of Jesus’ incarnation to needy children around the world.
This year we are planning a variation on that theme, one that will allow us to participate with a ministry supported by our church. Instead of sending shoeboxes through Operation Christmas Child, we will partner directly with Life-to-Life Africa (headed up by Mike Sulc) to support children’s schooling and other practical ministry needs in Zimbabwe. We will be hosting a Missions Evening at church on Sunday, November 10th, where these opportunities will be highlighted. The whole family is encouraged to attend!
We will enjoy an authentic Zimbabwean meal, hear a testimony from a family who currently supports children in Zimbabwe, and provide several ways you can join in the mission. You will also be able to sign up and let Mike know you want information about how you can take a short-term trip to Zimbabwe to work with Life-to-Life Africa.
