Call To Worship
We confess the supremacy of God in Christ through both responsive reading and song.

Our Spoken Call to Worship
The earth is the LORD’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it;
for he has founded it on the seas,
And established it on the rivers.

Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?
And who shall stand in his holy place?

Those who have clean hands and pure hearts,
who do not lift up their souls to what is false,
and do not swear deceitfully.
They will receive blessing from the LORD,
and vindication from the God of their salvation.
Such is the company of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.

Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.

Who is the King of glory?

The LORD, strong and mighty,
the LORD, mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?

The LORD of hosts,
he is the King of glory.
—Psalm 24, NRSV

Our Sung Call to Worship
How Great Thou Art

Confession
We confess our need for mercy through both responsive reading and song.

Our Spoken Confession
Father in light of how great You are

We see our need of forgiveness

Father we have not lived in the supremacy of our Savior

Please forgive us Lord

We have not rejoiced in our suffering for the sake of Your great name

Father we are ashamed of our sin

Father we have so easily shifted from the hope of the gospel
And sought assurance in things other than the gospel

Have mercy on us Lord

Father forgive us for not joyfully embracing the call to serve the church

For the magnificence of Your name
By the sacrifice of Jesus Christ—forgive our sin.
(Confession based on Col. 1:23-24)

Our Sung Confession

Thanksgiving and Petition

We Give Thanks in Prayer and Offer Petitions to God
We express our gratitude to God our Father for Christ’s work on the cross for us and bring our requests before him. In bringing our requests, we confess that we believe God truly is a good father, who cares about our needs and gives us what he knows is best.

We Give Thanks by Giving
We give financial offerings to support the work of the church because of our gratitude to God. By giving we confess we are trusting in God’s provision for us as well.

Thy Mercy

Benediction
Now rejoice in your sufferings and in your flesh fill up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church

God has made you an ambassador according to the stewardship from God that was given to you to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

May we toil, struggle as a church with all his energy that Christ powerfully works within us. Amen.

Blessing adapted from Col 1:24–29.
